Claire’s performance events, which highlight the problems of labour relations and power dynamics in social situations, have employed precarious workers such as sniffer dogs, cloakroom attendants, military mercenaries, fairground workers, mafrish owners, forensic psycho-physiologists and carpet pickers.

Claire has performed in a range of sites from art openings, cross-channel ferries, seminar and conferences and a welding tent in a chili festival. Methods are performed and made apparent in her scripts which play with the form of pedagogic events.

Claire’s recent work has been shown in DEMO PHOENIX at the Phoenix Art Space, Brighton (2022); DEMO NOTHERE at Kelder Projects and; DEMO HORSE HOSPITAL at The Horse Hospital, London (2020). Claire’s writing DEMO CHELSEA is published in, ‘Leap into Action: Critical Performative Pedagogies in Art & Design Education’ (2020) and she gave a performative lecture at the London Conference in Critical Thought, ‘Disruptions, Interventions, Liminalities: Critical Performative Pedagogies’ (2018).
